Our Process
Building a content website over years with passion, perseverance, and heart and soul is hard work. Selling it shouldn’t be tedious. This regularly takes between 20 and 90 days, although in the fastest case we’ve done it in 14 days!
Step 1
First, we’d like to get to know you, your business, and your website better. Why do you run your site, what drives you, and where do you want to go? At the same time, we would like to introduce ourselves and share who we are, how we work and how our process works. We know you are busy with your content website and will efficiently limit the video conference to 30 minutes to get to know you.
Step 2
If the conversation went well and you feel comfortable, we would like to go deeper. You provide us with the income, expenses and traffic figures of your asset. This will give us a first insight and help us to better understand the potential of your website. At the same time, confidentiality is very important to us: We will gladly sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in advance and reduce the data to be viewed to an absolute minimum by default. The NDA protects you and ensures that all information provided to us will be kept secure, will not be shared with third parties and cannot be used to build a competing business.
Step 3
Now it gets exciting: Our team analyzes your website and within 48 hours we will tell you whether a sale or a partnership would be possible and if so, you will receive a fair offer (LOI) directly. Together with you we discuss possible options, from a complete sale (“all cash”) to a sale with a performance-based bonus (“earn out”) to the joint operation of your portal (“partnership”), in which you will continue to profit from the joint growth in the future.
Step 4
Almost done. Next, we check your information, go through content topics together and look at your website in detail. From there, we’ll work with you to create a growth plan for your business that preserves the identity – we call it DNA – of your website while achieving massive growth through our technology, processes, advertising partners, and international media partnerships.
Step 5
We preserve the DNA, values, and team of your asset for the long term – and last but not least you receive our purchase agreement. After signing, we will pay you the purchase price into an escrow account, you will send us the accesses, files, and data of your portal and the escrow service will release the payment to you within a few hours. Congratulations. By the end of this process, we have a win-win scenario: You begin a new chapter in your life, and we are one exciting website richer.
Step 6
After you have celebrated your website sale, the journey for your website continues. New technology, new topics, a strengthening of the team, new advertising partners, an internationalization of your unique content and much more is waiting for you!
